- How many items do you need to store?
Before storage companies can give you an estimate, you’ll need to tell them how many items you are looking to put into storage. The storage facility will then be able to tell you how big of a unit you will need, and the monthly cost.
- What are the security features?
Make sure that access is limited, and that there are plenty of security cameras and locks.
Once you narrow down your selection to a few self-storage companies, be sure to inspect the unit. Look for water damage, oil stains, and pests.
